David Conradie

Professional Background
Following a ten-year career in the Financial Services Industry, occupying roles ranging from Head of Talent Acquisition to Global Human Resources Director, David joined Deloitte Consulting South Africa in 2000. As a Partner, served as the country leader of both the Talent Management and Leadership Centres of Excellence. In this capacity, he led the successful expansion of Human Capital market offerings to Deloitte Member Firms in the rest of Africa, specifically Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, and Nigeria.
He has extensive experience in advising organizations in multiple geographies, including continental Africa, Europe and South East Asia, on their Talent Management, Leadership, Workforce Transformation and Future of Work strategies, having served as Engagement Partner and Lead Client Partner on numerous projects across a range of industries.
David has been a member of the Deloitte Consulting Global Talent Steering Committee and was appointed as Global Leader of Talent Analytics in 2012. He has actively contributed as a subject matter expert to the formulation of multiple Deloitte Consulting Points of View, as well as the design of numerous Human Capital consulting methodologies.
David joined Deloitte Consulting Italy in 2016 as a Partner in the Human Capital Service Area, with accountability for the Reward, People Analytics and Talent Strategies service offerings, in addition to serving as the Country Leader for the Deloitte global Future of Work program and annual Human Capital Trends initiative. He is currently in the process of transitioning to Deloitte Consulting France.

David’s areas of specialisation include Strategic Talent Management, Leadership Succession Planning and Management, Workforce Analytics, High-Potential Programs, Employee Experience Transformation, Performance Management and Future of Work. In addition, he is a published author and frequent keynote speaker on these topics.

  • Registered Organisational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

Prof Norman Duncan

Norman Duncan holds a professorship in Psychology and is the Vice-Principal: Academic at the University of Pretoria. He obtained his qualifications in Psychology from the University of the Western Cape and the Université Paul Valérie (Montpellier Ill, France). His research and publications are primarily in the fields of racism and community psychology. He has co-edited a range of volumes, including 'Race', Racism, Knowledge Production and Psychology in South Africa (Nova Science Publications, 2001), Racism, memory and transformative psychosocial praxis: The Apartheid Archive project (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2013) and Developmental Psychology (JutajUCT Press, 2009). He currently serves as one of the lead researchers on the Apartheid Archives Research Project, a cross-disciplinary, cross-national study of the enduring effects of apartheidera racism on people's lives currently.
